Severe Weather Project Reflection

I learned that severe weather can be very very deadly even if it doesn't sound that deadly it really can be deadly. Another thing I learned is that hurricanes and typhoons are pretty much the same thing but typhoons have heavy rains in them and hurricanes only have wind.

  •  How much did you know about the topic before we started? What do you now know about the topic that you did not know before?

I did not know a single thing about this topic back at my old school since we did not have science everyday like at AdVENTURE. But now since I moved to AdVENTURE I now know even more stuff then I used to before I cam to AdVENTURE. One example is what is the difference between a typhoon and a hurricane.

  • How do you feel about your work this week? What parts of it do you particularly like? Dislike? Why?
I think my work was pretty good since I worked very hard on it all week. There was nothing I disliked about this project. One thing I thought the cards were fun to make since I got the hang of making the cards.

  • What grade would you give yourself? Why?
I would give myself an A because I worked very hard on it all week and to put in the pictures. I also had to use my dad's time to help me make one of the cards the rest I did on my own. So that is why I would give myself an A.

  • What's one goal you would like to set for yourself for next week?
Next week (After winter break) I would like to set the goal to try finishing all of my work before the due date so I won't miss any points. Another reason why I would want to set this goal is because I kept on losing points just for forgetting to turn in one of my assignments and I lose maybe like 5 points for that. So that is why I want to set this goal.

Correct answer to question #9 Body Systems and cells 5th review

The correct answer to question #9 is "The convert energy from food molecules into energy the cell can use" because the mitochondria collects energy from the sun then it produces energy for the cell. So that is the correct answer to question #9.

Correct answer to question #4 Body Systems and cells 5th review

The correct answer to question #4 is esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine because esophagus is a little tube like thing that leads to the stomach. Then the stuff in the stomach goes to the small intestine. Then finally it goes to the large intestine. So this is the answer to question #4.

Answer to question #8 Interdependence of Organisms Edmodo quiz

The correct answer to question #8 is oxygen because plants breath out oxygen so we can breath in the oxygen to live our lives. If plants did not breath out oxygen we wouldn't be doing our normal stuff like we do everyday. So that is the correct answer to question #8.

Answer to question #4 Interdependence of Organisms Edmodo quiz

The answer to question #4 is shelter because if no animals have shelter  to live in they will die with out shelter. All animals wouldn't live because pollination is just bees helping flowers that would not be very helpful to animal who need a shelter. So that is the answer to question #4.

Correct answer for question number 8

The correct answer to question number 8 is West to East. I know this because it is the way the wind blows across the world. This happens because this is the way the world turns over and over and over again during time.

Dangerous Weather 12/12

Two things I learned about dangerous weather like hurricanes is that hurricanes can be very very strong with winds up to 75-200 mph! Another thing I learned about hurricanes is that each hurricane last for a week or more.

  • How much did you know about the topic before we started? What do you now know about the topic that you did not know before?

I knew very little about this before we started this topic. I now know lots of stuff that I did not know in Indigo school before I came to Adventure at Herman school. Now that I am in Adventure I know the stuff above here like how wide hurricanes are, how fast are the winds around the hurricane and stuff like that.

  • How do you feel about your work this week? What parts of it do you particularly like? Dislike? Why?

I think my work was pretty good so far with my trading card project I am working on in class. The thing I like the most was making the cards during class. I liked it because I get to put my info, picture, and font to make it look nice.

The Water cycle 12/5

The water cycle is a cycle that repeats forever. For the water cycle to work it need the sun to start the water cycle. It is also where it rains, hails and snows!

  • How much did you know about the topic before we started? What do you now know about the topic that you did not know before?

I knew about half the stuff in the water cycle before we even started this stuff. I now know a lot about this stuff now then before. I also now know that the one of the most important parts of the water cycle is the sun, the water  cycle needs the sun to heat up the water in the ocean and lakes so the gases from the evaporated water goes into the air and forms clouds and clouds hold water, so when there is too much water it rains.

  • How do you feel about your work this week? What parts of it do you particularly like? Dislike? Why?

I think my work was pretty good this week. I loved everything to this topic that we are doing. I loved this topic because it was fun to do this stuff that we are doing.
