Summary:

The energy pyramid is the pyramid consisting of how organisms on this planet get their energy. This consists of producers and consumers. Producer make their own food through photosynthesis, while consumers eat producers for their energy. But when consumers eat those consumers they only gain 10% of that energy which means they will need to eat more to gain lots of energy. We humans are at the top of the energy pyramid but we weren't always at the top. Now extinct animals used to rule the energy pyramid like the saber toothed tiger.

Did you plan and carry out an investigation?

This week we used gizmos to see how populations of animals are affected by the boom or drop of prey or predator. I used gizmos to conduct investigations to see how exactly populations of prey of predator affect the populations of all the producers and consumers.

Cause and Effect

The cause is the populations of prey and predators. While the effect is the aftermath of the cause with populations of prey or predators booming or dropping quickly.
